Pre-Moab Rig Fixing Get-Together!

How about 7:00 at the Starbucks at the 44th St NE exit??

Works for me - - Since it looks like it'll just be the three of us, want to cancel the grill plan and I'll just order up a couple of pizzas? Or are there others coming that I'm not aware of. . .?

Yes, I'm still bringing beer. . .

Either or Paul, I am good with Pizzas or burgers and dogs. As far as others, it looks like it's just us and my neighbor might pop over and tell us how to do everything. He's a fun one.

Paul, see you at 7am

Pizza is OK with me too. I'll make sure I don't have it for dinner tonite.

I have 3 bags of chips and I'll pick up some 7 layer dip too.

Good times yesterday - - thanks for the help, the rig rode 100% better on the way home last night...

Hope you guys have fun today at Walker Valley - - 61 days until MOAB! ! ! :D

Great, got the typical picture of me smoking.

Walker was great, except for the fact that after getting to the top of the entrance trail to upper mainline, I checked out a new noise. Sure enough, two of the caps on my passenger side steering u-joint are gone. The drivers side was replaced at Moab last year. Luckily, it's on the same side that I am replacing the knuckle and I have a new ball/u-joint tool that should make quick work of it.

Yeah, well I wanted a good one I could send off to your Saftey Officer - you know, using the grinder without eye-pro, smoking next to the fuel tank - - that kind of stuff. :p:

Great difference in the handling on the trip home - - time will tell with regards to the bump stops...

Thanks again,

Paul

lol^

violation again. not wearing eye pro and gloves for the chemicals he's handling...

Yeah, the bottle before that one I was wearing rubber gloves, full face shield, leather apron, and a condem :D

No MSDS log book also... h2o is some bad stuff...

Dihydrogen Oxide. It is used in and around many hazardous materials, such as nuclear reactors and sewer treatment plants. It is a highly corrosive and erosive substance. It can cause respiratory concerns if inhaled, and heart failure if ingested in sufficient quantities. It is resistive to kinetic forces, and cause injury or death if one encounters a sufficient quantity at a high enough velocity.

It is also the major component in Acid Rain, contributes to the 'Green House Effect', it can cause SEVERE burns, contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape, and it accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.

It is also the leading cause of electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes. In the medical field, it has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.

And despite all of these dangers, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:
as an industrial solvent and coolant.
in nuclear power plants.
in the production of Styrofoam.
as a fire retardant.
in many forms of cruel animal research.
in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.
as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products.

After ALL of these terrible things....Kevin was handling it with no gloves, or faceshield????

FLOG HIM!!!!

Wow, am so glad I licked up what I spilled in the carport.

I got a text form Phil yesterday that he had a coolant leak. We replaced the cheesy stock hose clamp on the thermostat housing, unfortunately, it was an old clamp that failed. Phil and I did some troubleshooting via text and he replaced the clamp with a new stainless steel one and is good to go.

I still need to replace my passenger side steering knuckle and steering u-joint, and while I'm at it I am going to replace my front wheel bearings and clean out the hubs and lockouts.

And from what I've read, some of the more unusual side-effects to those affected include saying or posting the same things twice!!

Now watch him use his mad-moderating skills to delete his double post...(and most likely double post mine...)

Just kidding Kev, you're the man!

I can delete, not sure how to make someone else double post. However, I did delete my second one. Stupid phone.
