I noticed that my passenger side headlight is dim and barly on.When i put my highs on it goes out totaly.I also noticed the light inside the truck that tells you when the highs are on is dim even when my lows are on.,However it is much brighter when the highes are on.In the past i wiggled the wires at the bulb and when i put the highs on it would fix the problem but not anymore. Has anyone experience this problem yet? Thankyou

Maybe i'm a doofus and reading this wrong, but why is your bright beam light on in the dash, when the highs arent? (when highs aren't on, as he said it gets brighter when the highs are on)

All I can think is a bulb is going bad.. and that's it...
Pete

Do you have any sort of daytime running lights? My high beam light did stuff like that when my DRL system dumped

I would check for a bad earth wire on the side that is dim. Also check that the bulb hasn't shorted out inside (try another bulb).

Ok what i ment to say is yes when i put the high beams on..The bulb on the passengers side goes totaly out.,But the drivers side works properly..I also noticed when i put my high beams on the fog lights stay on..,And the light on the dash that tells you when your high beams are on.It never goes totaly out. When i have my lows on that light stays on dimly as to before when the lows were on i never saw it..

You have a short in your wiring; probably on the plug for the bulb. Check it and if it is burned, it will need replaced. Good luck finding a 9007 pigtail. If you need one and cant find one at your parts store, there is not one listed for an explorer at the dealership. You will need to get one for a newer Ford Escort, and splice it on. $13 at dealership for the part. The High beam indicator does light dimly when there is a short. If you had an Eddie Bauer, the message center would say "Check Headlights".

I was able to move the wires at the head light and it went on but not anymore it stays like that..I will have to pull it out when it gets warmer...Thanx

Now would be a good time to rewire the headlights. A wiring harness is available from Dead Link Removed Parts.

Take a look at the write up on the install at Dead Link Removed

This is a major improvement for your headlights.

Good luck.....
