I ran them for about 2 months during the wheelin' season. They were great on the street. Offroad on the rocks they were pretty good aired down, but in moist clay dirt and mud they were terrible. What kind of wheeling do you do?

In my avatar i had them on and in that moist clay and they didn't want to grip, they just kept spinning and i was all over the place

I have them, and love them. never any problems in snow, rain, ice, dirt ect. They kick ass on rocks, and can hold their own in mud. The only problem is that in realy soupy mud they dont do quite as well as the lugs arnt big enough to move alot of mud. Also, they dont do good in reverse at all, if you get stuck going forwards, your not reversing out. Other than that they wear awsome on the road, and are a little loud but I knida like it.

the trxus tires are junk unless ran on a 3/4 ton vehicle. They take alot of wheight to balance and are mostly oval. Im running x-terrains and I love them. They most weight that was put on my 35's was 4.25 oz's

my xterrains were smooth as glass on road. great ride. they look good. but didn't like them in the mud. i mean they aren't horrible or anything but anyways i wasn't impressed in that aspect so i had to let them go. :( i know quite a few people that love them but myself along with some others wish we hadn't bought them in the first place. i don't much care for the trxus mt's either but i'd take them over the xterrains (offroad)

well... procomp has a deal buy 3 get 1 free so I think that's what I'm gettin, I want somethin that's gonna wear nicely on the road, be good on rocky trails and perform decent in mud, so the Xterrain looks to be my tire, im not a heavy heavy offroader but when i do go, i tend to keep clear of huge mudholes and stick to trail riding.

thanks for all your comments and I'll get pics up as soon as i get em

so STAY TUNED!

Myself, 3 Wranglers and 1 Durango here on base all disagree with that. Yes they took more weight to balance, but a competent tire shop should have no problems. They are the best M/T tires I have run. Great in the snow and wet and are wearing very well with 10,000 miles on them and hardly any wear showing. 1 of the Wranglers has just over 20,000 on his set of 33s, with over half the tread still left.

if you go exterrain besure to follow there rotation intervals. mine started to scallop real bad and got extremely loud. they have to be rotated more ofthen then other tires when I called procomp they told me every 3000 miles would have kept it from happening.

just my experience. Im running there mudterrain now with little to no complaints.

i currently run trxus mt's and love them...they were relatively cheap but their performance is amazing. in the snow they are insanely good and they do just as well on the dirt and in the mud. only thing ive notcied is that they chunk when they get spun even a little bit in the dirt or on rock...but hey, i think that is a super swamper thing...i say get the mt's!

I have the 35" pro comps X terrains. at 15lbs of pressure they suck at wheeling. At 10lbs they work good. Overall I am pretty happy with them. They were used when I got them. I havent decided on my next tire yet. I am going to go to the 37" range and havn't decided yet. I know it wont be procomp cause once you jump past 35" they get expensive fast.

Even at the buy 3 get 1 free is the extra $100 over the price of the TrXus justified for the X-Terrains??

I like my TrXus Mt's they are good on gravel, mud, and awesome on snow and ice. I got them as blems off the interco website. 105 plus shipping per tire i think for 265/75R16's i've looked the tires over and don't see anything worng with them either. they still have some blems left i think.... try this http://www.intercotire.com/site.php?pageID=55&newsID=7

thanks for the link man, but i bought the procomps :P just took them wheeling today, performed well in the mud but like everyone said if you dont get out going forward backing up aint gonna work... i found they actually cleaned out really well and cant wait to try them on rocks they seem really grippy

well i think i am going to get 33 12.50 15 AT's here

And they quoted me $597.97 to my door with 50% tread life warranty, plus i get a $50 gift card, and some toy crawler. I am going to ask i can get another 10% from Extreme 4X4.

any thoughts???

yeah get Xterrains instead of all terrains :P :D

We just had a set of pro comp a/t's on ours. The sidewalls are pretty thin (meesly 2ply) & we did cut one of them wheeling but not all the way through. If it wasnt for we have a lot of rocky trails, would have bought them again. With the exception of mud we NEVER had any traction probs, even with 2 wheels off the ground on a steep enough hill that the truck still rolled forward in park. They wore pretty good too. We were over 40k miles with lil over 25% tread left.

To me X-terrians are overly priced for what they are. I looked at those & compared sidewalls to the Trxus m/t's, m/t's are thicker & cost less. I got to test them out in snow on a soft trail, couldnt get the truck to spin around in 4x4 high. Have gotin to play in the mud a lil & well, didnt get stuck anyhow. :p Didnt do as well in the mud as I would have thought. I think the m/t's are in between a mud & all terrain.

We got ours at 4wheel parts for $702 w/ the lifetime warrenty & mounting/balencing one of the old pro comps on the spare. Balencing on the m/t's is an issue but you wouldnt have to worry about it @ 4wheel parts.

I would say go with the a/t's if you dont have sharp rocks & thick/gooey mud to contend with. If your curious of what the a/t's & m/t's look like, I have pics of both @ the link below.
