I know the easy answer here is to buy a 2wd. but i have a good running ex and just looking to remove drag to increase gas mileage, and possibly put in an Toyota front clip to bag it in the near future.
i have a 98 XLT 4wd 4.0, with the auto / 4 wheel high/ 4 wheel low selector switch. if i perform the brown wire (which to my knowledge give me true 2wd) can i remove the entire front drive line without frying the electronics or causing the transfer case to go haywire.
thanks
