After a dismal start making 4 passes in the low 14s, the track crew finally prepped the starting line like it should have been in the first place. The next 4 passes were all in the 13s. Best pass was a 13.69 @ 101 which is two tenths quicker than it ran before. This is only the second time I've had the Mach 1 to the track.

Didn't take the Dart out because Char is out of town, and she's my pit crew, so I stole her Mach 1 and beat on it instead:D:burnout:

Thanks Char!!

Question is, did she know beforehand? :D

Hell no! ;)

What's funny is that as I was cruising down the track I started to hear a noise. Sounded like some kind of alarm was going off in the car, thought I screwed something up... Once I made it through the traps and slowed I could hear that it was just my phone ringing in my pocket.

Got back to the pits, saw it was Char, so I called her and told her I was out beating on her car. She didn't have a problem with that:D

Just checked the weather at the track. 92deg with an effective altitude of 4150ft. Car ran pretty darn good for those kind of conditions.

BTW Jon, the freshly powder coated hood scoop was probably responsible for it's quicker ET tonight ;)

Damn, I wonder what it would do at sea level at Sears Point..

The only time I put my Mach on a dragstrip was when it was dead stock, and I ran a 13.875@105 on a VERY slippery track. Spun through 3 gears...

The only mod done to ours is the aluminum intake tube. That thing get's so hot, and holds the heat for so long, it's hard to imagine that it's an improvement. Worst part is it transfers the heat down to the MAF. I could barely put my hand on the thing. Seems like it would like to be cooled down with an icy towel between rounds, but I didn't have one available.

Not much to show. Here's a couple cell phone shots I grabbed in the pits:

Awesome. Does this mean I can start making HP improvement claims? :)
