My rca cable broke off my 1800 watt amp :( I can't figure out how to get the pin out of the middle of the jack!!!! i've tried a magnet (i don't think its magnetic..), i tried the shop vac, trying to seal it around the jack thinkin maybe i could suck it out. I even tried a tiny tiny flat head to maybe pry it out, but succeeded in pushing it just a lil more. I can't find any info about this happening online. Does anyone have some ideas?

mine did that and i used a needel tto wedge on 4 sides then pulled all 4 needels..it did disfigure the jack a tinny bit but there was no performence loss

you never told me you did that one genious

Open the amp and push it all the way through or push it out from the inside :)

Been there done that!

If you can get some needlenose pliers maybe you can grab an edge? POssibly bend it up a little to to create an edge to grab onto?

Good lucK!

lol, already tried to open up the amp and push it thru, its closed on the other side of the jack so i can't. mhn - when you used 4 needles, did you have to push the piece all the way back in farther before you could get the needles in? I could try to fit them, but the prong would slide back farther into the hole first. This sux, i did it to my other amp and I ended up switching the jack for input and output since i never use the output... but that kinda sucked and i'd rather get it out.

not on the new amp..the old ghetto pos lol :burnout:

come on it cant be that tight!! You need some sort of a little hook, have you tried a screw of the same size, you might be able to get it to bite...

yah i shoved it all the way in...id dry a pointy screw first though..not one with a blunt tip and see if that will snag it

SUCKS!!! hahaha Can you solder a piece of wire to it to pull it out????

good idea with the solder..... yes it is that tight, its a perfect fit surrounded by hard plastic. I don't think i could fit a needle between it and the plastic without a lil force, so using plyers and stuff won't work :(

PB Blaster?

CRAZY GLUE! That will do it!

strong magnet?

have really strong magnet, didn't work.... the glue/ qtip idea sounds good i'm going to try that.

you could drill a hole in the center of the broken RCA (if possible) and then get a scew that is small enough to fit in the drilled hole, then tighten a little and pull out.
