Rear latch dosent open

Hi guys

here's my problem...on my 02 eadie bauer my rear latch dosent open. The door seem to unlock but i think that is the rear handle that is broken from inside. how do i remove my interior trim to see what is exactly the problem since i can't open the door...thanks

Just removed a couple of these this weekend.
There are 4 or 5 trim push pins or screws at the very top of the panel. Remove these first. Be careful if you have the plastic push pins, if the tops break off you won't be able to put it back together correctly and the top will flop and squeak.
Next, remove the 2 philips head screws that hold the plastic handle pull on the inside.
Lastly, pop the little plastic cap off that goes around your lock stem and there should be one little philips head screw in there.
Once all those are off the whole things just slides right up. If you try yanking and pulling instead you are going to break the plastic tabs.
Not sure what to do since yours won't open though...

One other thing to try (I had to do this on my 00 Mounty a lot), try pressing the unlock button a couple times. Sometimes just pressing it over and over and then giving a good hit on the outside of the door wiggles things enough to be able to get it open.
