Good luck on your swap. Can't wait to see it done. :)

Wow its been a while since ive updated this thread.

Since the last time. I finished the rear suspension and the rear axle is under the truck. ive scraped the leaf front suspension to go with a 3 link with panhard.

i bought a set of camburg shackles but had to modify them since they are made for the shackle going up not down.

I also gutted the interior and converted my 60/40 bench seat into twin captains chairs.

this is one of my two coil buckets that i had made. and the spring that is slightly in the picture is a Rusty's 4.5" XJ coil which is what im using for the coils on my 3 link

Yes, it has been a while. You have a projected finish date for the front?

not yet. All my link tabs and stuff is in the mail. But i go back to school in 2 weeks so progress will slow when that happens. I also purchased my d44 diff cover from Ruffstuff specialties. its made out of all .375 plate.

who did you get the link tabs from? I am planning on getting the ruffstuff covers as well once he has the 8.8 ones ready. I also want to see your lower coil mounts as well. I might need to copy them when I three link my front :D

I bought my lower coil buckets from Ballisticfabrication.com

My upper link mount from polyperformance.com

and then all my other brackets are from ruffstuff, along with the diff cover

I had some XJ coils on mine when i first did the SAS and it rode pretty bad. They are extremely soft for a Ford front end, maybe you'rs won't be so bad, but i hated mine.

A Ranger is alot lighter than a 4 door Explorer... it should be closer in weight to an XJ.

Ive talked to a couple guys who run them and they do say they are on the soft side, but not to soft. im looking for a soft coil anyways so they should work. if not ill be looking into something stiffer. i got them from a friend for 100 bucks brand new, so if they dont work they dont work.
