Removal of AC compressor clutch (98 explorer)

I am trying to replace the ac compressor clutch. Is there a special tool needed to remove the bolt which holds it in place? I can't stop the free spinning of the assembly to remove the bolt. Any help would be appreciated.

leave the serpentine belt on until bolts are loose

Yes there is. If there is an autozone near you they will loan it to you (holding your deposit for the purchase price in the event you fail to return it.). It's an odd looking "plate" with 2 or 3 pins in it, and a handle to hold it. The pins engage the clutch to hold it stationary.
