Replaced the rear timing chain tensioner today

good- syn >conventional, and short oil runs are great for these motors imo, keeps em runnin much much longer. youre doin the right hign imo! just not sure if it sounds like tensioner to me. my timing rattle didnt sound like that, ti was a metallic tinging... and constant from startup all th way to shutdown
Hopefully someone will recognize and chime in.

I wasn't sure

Only FEAD items changed are alternator 2x, belt idler, and tensioner. I did not detect looseness or wobble in the top area.

Compresor on off AC doesn't change it.

Crank or water pump?

This is a Ranger Engine pull...

The big question is, from earlier posts, can this be done, front and rear, in the vehicle?

Does anyone know of a video of how this sounds?

I'm hearing it more hot than cold...
Yep its a ranger with THE EXACT ENGINE YOU HAVE
