I am a skilled welder, and body man. I have read EVERY thread I could find on the installation of a Rollpan. I haven't found much information at all on the 1st gen. rollpan install. I know about the frame mods, I am comfortable doing them after seeing the mods done in a few threads.

I will use a Steel rollpan, but I am concerned about fabricating some 'corners'. Could I cut some bed corners off of a Ranger, and make the bodylines match? Or am I better off using an early 90's F-150 rollpan and cutting it down. I know anything is possible, but I'd like to make it look good.

I would start with a steel F150 pan with a license plate box. Cut it down to fit, then fabricate the corners and weld them to the cut down rollpan. Then make the filler panels for the splash guards on the sides.
