i love my yakima loadwarrior, but not cheep, but it is verry strong and sturdy compared to the surco racks

You can also try THULE racks, they're cheaper than YAKIMA racks but will get the job done.

What I would do is check either the yakima or thule website to see what you want, then look for it on ebay or something similiar. Sometimes you can find pretty good deals. You might also check your local junkyard, I know some other members have had luck doing that.

Surco safari racks are about as cheap as you will find. Around $150 or so...I believe EE carries them as well as summit racing. IMO, order straight from the factory and eliminate the middle man

I ordered mine straight from Surco for about $160 shipped. This was a few years ago so I'm not sure if they still sell direct to the public or not.
