Rubicon in September..

Got the 3rd member out of the axle housing, I believe I found the leak; it's the bulkhead fitting.

Tightening it doesn't help it any - it needs to be replaced.

Is that the fitting that goes through the axle housing?

Yes.

This ARB is probably 10+ years old, and has been reinstalled several times - so the copper air line keeps getting shorter, and shorter. I'd say the last time the locker was install, the air line should of been replaced.

I just relocated both my breather tubes cause when my rear ARB does this, and with the breather on top of the axle tube and the fill cap on the aftermarket diff cover above that, it dumps fluid all over the trail. But I may have a different problem becuse if I cycle my locker on and off a couple of times and take a few tight turns, it seems to stop. Not sure if the locker is fully engaging and leaking past the o-rings or what.

The front breather tube is also on top of the axle tube, and the stock diff cover fill cap is above that as well. Talk about a crappy design. I have never had a problem with the front ARB dumping air into the housing, but now that I post this it'll happen next time on the trail.

Always carry extra fluids:D

In your case, I'd think a twisted o-ring, or a notch exists in the rear.. I've also read about cranky lockers when cold, that work after a few times. There was a thread on Pirate4x4 about that a few months ago..

I was just checking in to see what was going on with this... Sorry to hear it didn't go down:(
