I have a 2002 explorer xlt and I took off the original boards as they were all rusty. I had a friend order me some chrome 3 inch boards. The first set didnt fit and now the second set is having some issues.
Mostly the u type mounting clips for the long bolts.
Its hard to get the bolt to line up with the mounting bracket and spacer into the clip. Always keeps moving and won't turn in.
We tried the driver front side and we gave up.
Any suggestions if like those square clip nuts would work instead?
