add this recall in post 5c983-speed control deactivation switch - safety recall
may overheat,smoke or burn. this may occur either when car
parked or on the road even if speed control not in use lol

Hi,
Can someone explain this please as I have checked my Vin number on the Ford database & it says it is still outstanding & needs doing! Help.

Basically they change the switch and add a fused link in the wiring loom. You can see it all at the end of the brake master cylinder. Takes them all of 10 mins to do. Whizz it into nearest ford dealer and get them to do it. You might have to phone first and book it so that they can get the parts.
