Scoop and heat under the hood?

I was wondering, has anyone installed a functional Scoop or Cowl on their hood? I'm thinking about adding a scoop and then opening the hood under it to let the heat out. I noticed that there is a lot of heat trapped under the hood and if you made a way for the pressurized/tapped air to get out (loovers/scoops) everything would be a lot cooler--think?:roll:

I had one made on my hood when it was change from a metal hood to a fiberglass hood. At that time I had a supercharger and that really produce a lot of heat in the engine compartment. The scoop really help out in cooling it down.
