I just realized something... is sea foam safe for us SOHC owners with knock sensors. I could see it presenting a problem if the engine noticed abnormalities in the firing, so I could see how it would seriously retard the timing for a while. Should we just perform a reset and call it a day?
It just occoured to me... :D

SeaFoam didn't cause any strange behavior from my '97 SOHC when I ran the can through the engine. The only strange behavior I noted was from my neighbor caughing and weezing.

The knock sensor is nothing more than a microphone specifically tuned to pick up pinging sounds. Unless your engine would ping using seafoam, I don't see how the knock sensor would affect anything.

it's good to reset the computer after that anyway.
