Hey all, it's me once again with a noob question :p: I've had my 33s on for awhile, and primarily due to laziness, I never really worried about the left over residue from the shipping tape on the tires, but it is starting to bother me, especially after I washed my car, and the tires looked like blah. Any thoughts on what is safe to use to get this nonsense off? I have Goof-Off, but I don't want to corrode the tires or anything, so I'm looking for the safest and most effective product for removing this crap off my tires. Thanks in advance, guys. :salute:

Ive tried countless methods of getting sticky stuff off. So far the best one thats worked for me is just plain old rubbing alchohal and some elbow grease. That shouldn't hurt the rubber either.

BTW great write up on the body lift.

Rubbing alcohol (or any alcohol) will dry out the rubber compound. Use an orange or citrus-oil based cleaner. It's Eco-friendly too

Just go 4x4ing and put some dents in your X. You won't mind the tape marks so much after that!

Lol @ nitro, wish I could man, but unfortunately it's 4x2 right now and I'm broke as hell, so I can't be spending the money to do 4x4 swapout :( I'll give the orange cleaner a try (maybe some Orange Citrus, or whatever that stuff is called) Thanks for the input guys.

take the goo off with a pressure washer,, won't damage the tires,,
