If anyone needs help with tow hooks, we can help you install them at the park. Just bring them (plus hardware) with you, and we will make sure you have a tow point. At least one for the front & back will be needed.

Tow hooks? You mean you aren't supposed to just wrap a chain around the axle? lol

One more thing I have to get figured out before SMORR. The truck is supporting its own weight now anyways, so its getting closer. Gotta get shocks on all 4 corners, weld on shock brackets in the rear, add fluids, get extended brake lines, put in a CB, etc. Getting close though!!

Do we have many V8's going??? I think we should settup some friendly short drag races in the field over by the jump/course ??????? Any takers, and heck doesnt need to be V8s, but try to pair of v8 vs v8 or v6 vs v6 :)

in 2wd and 4wd. I'm curious how my ranger will do it feels pretty fast :)

In terms of camping reservations: are we responsible for our own? Sorry if I missed it on the front page but I don't want any surprises so far from home.

I'll be driving my truck down there as well. Not sure if I'm going to try my old bfg mts (with rock cuts and dry rot) or the Yokohama ats I plan on installing soon.

Azaizai - you would be responsible for your own camping, but the area most stay in you really don't need a reservation lots of room, but primative. I guess if you want electric site or something like that Might be a good idea. Greg can pipe in prolly on what site #'s are around side we seem to end up at.

Ya purely primitive for us, not sure about the friends. Think we'll be down first thing Sat morning so we only have to ask for 1 day off. Man I'm getting psyched for this!

:thumbsup::D

I am down for this with my newly acquired Mounty 5.0 as long as there no jumping involved :p:

Ill throw blue in for racing! As long as it is against something that cant move real fast or good...like a rock...

yea, I'll try and remember to bring some cones we can put out for finish line. And find spot that we can at least get into 3rd /4th gear and be smooth. I have one in mind.

Guess that means I do need to bring the mountaineer:burnout:

It's going to need to be a wide area with plenty of spacing between the vehicles, and 2 at a time max. You can't see it in the videos but Jon and I were sliding and bouncing around a lot.

As you'll see I already have some experience

Disclaimer: I, myself, & Irene have no stake in this, nor do we or the folk at smorr have anything to do with this. Actual racers still to be determined, Pairings are strictly for thread entertainment values. Vegas odds are changed with thread posts, gamble responsibly. No rain dates, hell or high water, these nut jobs are gonna tear some **** up :p:

We tend to set up tents on the back sides of the R/V sites #23 to #32. But some like to set up away from the group for a bit more privacy and quiet. This is a great idea if you have children with you. We have been known to stay up late and talking tends to keep people awake. :D

Turdle isn't coming:mad:so we can't have that race:rolleyes:!! But it needs to happen some day!!!
Were ready to line up against anyone!!:p:

Dave you need to get back here with enough time to get your inspection & tag!!

I just hope that there isn't alot of rain exspected for that weekend. Or anymore then it already has!!! That will stop me from coming,no fun camping in the rain and mud.

Well, the Ranger is not going to make it. Filled the transfer case today, and gear oil was pouring out of the front output. Who knows whats up with that, i didn't investigate. Just watched it run out for a min with a look of exasperation on my face, put the tools up and went inside in disgust. So I have to tear that apart again (the easy part) after I get it out of the truck (the hard part) then put it back after I fix it (really hard part).

This latest setback, on top of the other stuff I still have to do to it, is gonna put SMORR out of reach at this time. Plus I don't have a trailer lined up, or a truck to pull it even if I did have a trailer. :(

It was going to be a real stretch money wise anyways, with me and Tiff moving into the new house soon and everything that comes with that. We are still planning on coming and camping, and maybe doing some easy trail rides with the X, as well as seeing everyone and hanging out. Thats half the fun.

So..... I'm disappointed and kind of pissed right now, but I'll get over it and have a good time anyways.

Greg asked me to tell you how to fix the 4405 transfer case, but i think pictures are a lot better Jason. So here is rebuild post for you
http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182071&highlight=4405+transfer+case

Pete just told me that you have a 205 x-case and not a 4405, so if it is a 205 just unbolt the yolk and tap it off with a hammer and remove the old seal and tap a new one in and replace the yolk, just don't hit it to hard as the front housing is alum.
