I did a search and have some questions about the SOA swap.

My friend has a 97 XLT that he wants to lift. he is waiting for the RCD coil over kit.....

I have read for the rear people use the Superlift SOA swap..... What comes in this kit?? do you use your factory springs? and get 5" of lift?

how hard is it to grind/remove the old perchs.

thanks

Easier just to purchase perches, not the Superlift kit. You can use the old springs. You will get about 5" of lift.

where can perchs like this be ordered... now do these spring perchs come with shock mounts also?

If you buy generic perches they won't come with shock mounts. You'll have to get shock mounts and have both those and the perches welded on. If you use the superlift kit its bolt on, and you don't need to cut the old perches even though the kit says you do.

Dead Link Removed

jc whitney sells a spring over kit for $80 that comes with new ubolts, perches, shock mounts, spring plate... sorry i dont have alink for that i didnt see it on theor site but i know they have it im ordering one for my jeep project. just make sure you get the one for 3" springs and you are good.

I think some people have just welded on new perches and swapped their Ubolt/shock mounts side to side and upside down. You can reuse everything except the spring perches, and the shocks stay the same length.

I bought some generic spring perches from Summitracing.com for like 20 bucks then I just flip the old shock mount/ubolt plate to the top and reuse everything, the shocks then just mount onto the old sway bar holes (I take it you would remove that).
You can kind of see it on Lizard's truck:
