Can we do it 16-17 or 30-31? . . . Or the 23rd 24th. I don't care
Neither do I. I was hoping someone did so we could narrow down a date.

Sounds like everyones good w/ T-haven though.

T- haven is right next to the Salton Sea, not to far from Palm Springs.

It's a blast there and you could have some fun for sure in a 2wd there ;)

Well, I found a # for Los Coyotes I.R. and tried calling just now and got a recording saying the campgrounds are closed until further notice. The recording mentioned a website they have that has updates on the res. but It came in jumbled...damn cell phone.
Sounds like everyone's down for T-haven anyways but kinda sucks to hear L.C. is closed.

So Whats goin on here? when we goin? I sat 16&17 or 23&24.

Because 9&10 is the offroad show in Pomona....Any one going to that?

..and 30&31 is the start of the auto show at anahiem.

I'm interested. Mid to late October will probably be good for me.

I'll probly hit up the offroad expo this year again, of all the crappyass offroad shows around here, that one is for sure the best. That blows Los Coyotes is closed...did it say the whole damn place is closed, or just the campsites? I really feel like getting back there sometime soon cuz that place rocked! (even though I didn't get to wheel with you guys that time ;) ). Another possibility is the Pinyon Mountain trail, I would like to get back there again too. Its down close to Anze Borrego. Its not a weekend thing, but I think the trail takes a few hours to do...fun stuff!

the 16&17th work best for me

October 16th and 17th at Truckhaven- I'm in!

So whos gunna "hold my hand" and make sure i dont get stuck or worse break something?;)

truckhaven is a great spot for stock trucks. If the obsticales that people are doing are to big or you dont feel comfortable doing you can usually just go another 20 feet past and there will be a much easier way to go.

If I am in town Ill head out and grab an open seat from someone.

Josh, looks like it is closed completely until further notice. They have a website they say they will be updating: www.loscoyotes.info

If I do end up going i'll be in 2wd mode, I don't think i'll be able to get the front regeared in time

I'll give you a hint. . . If I say "this looks fun", don't follow me. :D

Seriously though, If I'm leading I try to keep it just easy enough for the least capable truck, unless I see something I just HAVE to try, and I'll warn you in advance, and let you know how to bypass it and get back in line. If you don't feel comfortable, ask for a spotters opinion, don't push it, and you'll be fine.
All of us have to drive our trucks home, so we're usually pretty sane. ;)

I'm a REAL NOOB at 4x4 i have had the explorer in 4x4 4 times and actually needed it, once on a trail behind my house that doesnt really require 4x4 except in certain areas, and the other times were in snow.

So I am a little concerned, I mean give me a nice mountain road in my VR-4 and i will tear it up hard enough to scare most people but put me off road in 4x4 and i am lost lol
