Well, I've got the Toyota Hammers run penciled in for April 23-24th. Anybody else want to do that? Or we can do something else that weekend. Other than that I'm pretty swamped until the Calico run. :(

I'm in we always do a BB run in april-may, not sure if there is still snow? Locker goes in this weekend, but not sure when sliders will get done.....I have the metal, still working on ideas.

Sounds like fun.I will see how things go. I have to finish up my smog stuff to get my registration stickers. So that will probably prevent me from going this time. But, I will see what I can do.

Sweet, that was the first time I've sent a pm to more than one person at a time using the ";".......and no problem.

not exactly tent weather
That's what the back of the X is for.

I need to check my work schedule, but Corral Canyon would be a good day trip. We could do the three hardest trails there in one day.

Its moderate to difficult. High desert terrain with some rocks. I have never been there before, but its off I-8, east of Alpine. On my guide pictures that make it look pretty interesting.

I was up on the east side of Big Bear 2 weeks ago. Jacoby Cyn. has been reopened, but has been reclassified as a 5 or most difficult. As far as snow it was more like 3 feet of solid ice on the north slopes. Rumor has it half the trails have severe storm damage and may not be open anytime soon. :(

USFS Fire Season starts May 1st!

Looks like Corral Canyon is closed beyond the campgrounds until further notice due to the rains we had a few weeks ago.

I just called the Ranger station out there to get the story. Only one trail is closed.
I've been there a few times. There are separate trails for 4x4's and atvs/bikes. There are 4 trails for 4x4s, so that's 3 trails open. The ranger said Bronco peak is closed for repairs due to erosion, and should be open in 2 weeks.
It would make a good day trip. :)
Big Bear would be cool if someone has a cabin up there. ;)

I might be back east for work that weekend. Wont know for sure though for a few weeks. I would also have to put the tranny back in to get the truck back on the road. I am a maybe to doubtful for this one as it sits right now.

You know what would happen if I posted one of these for the Colorado guys?
it would be nothing but my comments for weeks :)

So are you in for this run, Jamie? ;)
