There is kits at walmart that might be able to fix it
I will pay a place like safe light to repair it I just wanna know if it's repairable in anybody's opinion before I go

Safelight should be able to fix it

how big is the crack? sometimes they fill em with resin to fix it. dpeending on how large it is

Bigger than a quarter, it's questionable. Just a day ago, I spoke with my neighbor, similar damage. $175 USD done at the Safelite facility. If the windshield was to break during the process, customer has to pay for a new windshield.
Something to consider.
YMMV

Kind of a big spatter shatter. If it in your line of sight, I would have it replaced. Call your insurance company and see what kind of glass coverage that you have. Even if resin could be vacuumed into it, the cracks would continue to travel over time.

@donalds Don, I just now saw that was you.

Put me down for four of the Permatex DIY repairs so far. My first (and worst damage) did eventually fail after ten years. Insurance replaced the glass no charge under comprehensive.
The other three I haven't seen since doing them, they are undetectable and holding well.

They have a web page with examples of various degrees of damage. Have a look, that may help you.

I think you need to fix or replace it, but I can't tell you which. I used to drive a straight truck that got a small rock chip in the center of the windshield in cold weather. I kept an eye on it, but it didn't grow until several months later when it got hot. When the truck was parked at our warehouse, it faced south. Once I started using the a/c, the crack started to spread. Some days, I could almost watch the crack grow as I drove. Didn't take long before it went most of the way across the windshield, and we had the windshield replaced. With the horizontal cracks showing on yours, it could grow pretty quickly.

Is this a DIY deal or should I pony up the $375
can be DIY resin kits sold on amazon etc so you can fill it. if it doesnt work then thats as good as itll get/time for nee windshiled. i ddi a diy once

Because of where it's at, I'd replace it. If it was on the passenger side in a corner, or behind the mirror, then repair could be considered, but that location warrants replacement...

You don’t have glass coverage on your insurance? Mines only $50 for glass claims, and it doesn’t count against you. That won’t be able to be repaired to where it’s not visible. Best case, it doesn’t crack across the windshield.

Surely Don has Comprehensive: fire, theft, vandalism ad acts of God and Mother nature, On his baby. I have Comp on my wife's truck because she drives to work through deer and elk country.
ADDED: below is a link to a company that will sell a new windshield for $350- including install. Ibet Safelight is twice that because of their National advertising expense. New Explorer Windshield

I have had good success with the repair/patch kits
Just like anything else it is all about the prep work
First you need to clean it out, dig all the rock and dust out of the cracks, I use a fine pick for this, I have seen a small dremmel work well too
then you need to clean, compressed air for this
Then prep the surface, again clean the area
Now time to press in the resin and let it setup

50 cent piece it about as large if a crack as you can repair
It may not be perfectly clear and it may not hold forever but the kits are like $20 each it is worth a shot IMO
