ebay.

Ya thats what ive been doing missed out on those other ones with the leaf springs. Just takes a while for those to pop up.

Make sure you search for "ranger lift" too as there's probably more listed.

98 ranger spindles will work for the explorer to?

Ill do that and thnks for the help.

I was just going to say I think BigDave has some for sale but you're already in that thread. Any luck with the spindles from him?

I'm sure if you just pm him he'll answer any questions you might have.

Ya ive been talking to him but im pretty sure he sold his becuz he hasnt said anything about them.

I found some spindles on ebay brand new and i have a question about them. They both say you should use offset wheels with them. Do you have to have offset rims or could i just use my stock ones. They also say to have adjustable control arms for proper suspension geometry. Is that really needed to or no?

Thanks again

anyone?

post a link to your Ebay find

Spindles should not include upper arms, but yes the stock arms are adjutable for camber, it is required in order to aling a truck.

If they say offset rims are needed it is likely for clearing the spindle, which means your stock rims may not. I personally would find out before I bought, and the seller should be able to give you an answer.

Im replacing my control arms and the autoparts store gave me the upper control arms that are the one piece. As of now the stock ones that came with the truck are, one piece on driver side and the 2 piece arm on the passenger side. So i would need the 2 piece ones on both sides and the 2 piece ones im guessing are the adjustable control arms?

i heard something that the brake discs are bigger on an explorer and the wont fit in a ranger spindle or something. not too sure but id check into that.

His wheels already clear his discs, the spindle just moves everything down 3", so if there are any clearance issues my guess would be it is due to the shape of the new spindle.

the control arms camber adjustment is at the pivot point of the upper arms. Ford di make a 2 piece on the pass side for whatever reasons, but aftermarket arms are 1 piece. You do not need 2 piece uppers for camber, it is still adjusted at the pivot point. I dont think anyone would even make a 2 piece for the drivers side either.

the lift spindles are made to work with your stock upper control arms I believe.

Thanks for clearing everything up for me.
