You can get a black they call trim black that would work pretty good and it is just a spray can.
It won't last forever, but you can keep paiting it when they get bad.

Just remember to tape EVERYTHING off around the handle so you don't get any overspray on the vehicle.

Good luck!!

I just sprayed my plastic and door handles with Krylon brand . They have a Semi Flat and the gloss works very well.

Yep, I agree about the krylon semi flat black. It's good stuff. It actually is very durable if you do a good job and keep it clean and waxed.

thanks everyone.!!!! will get the paint tomorrow

Waxing will indeed help prolong the shine however avoid waxing for a few weeks after you paint. The paint needs time to vent all its solvents. If you wax too soon the solvents will get sealed into the paint causing flashing (dullness in color and shine) and quite possible tiny bubbles in very extreme conditions. Black will fade no matter what you do. That is why your plastic handles are faded now. I suggest using a lighter color because they tend to fade less in most cases, perhaps something that will set your rig off from everyone elses. White, yellow, orange, light colors.....have fun with it.
