Dont worry Brandon, we wont.

BUT.....When you see what we will do at your park, you wont be laughing anymore.:p:

If you feel like taking a ride in a Ford sitting on 38's, let me know, I might be able to arrange it. If you want to do a straight 500 ft run against a tiny little Mercury Mounty, I might be able to arrange that too.:p:

Update

Good news! My wife and I will be there in our Explorer and my dad will be joining us in his (formerly mine) '87 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. I know of two guys in Springfield (one with a YJ) that might also attend.

Bad news: the axle swap won't be done by then. So my Ex will be there in its current configuration of a 2" suspension and 2" body lift, 33" MTs, and a Lock-Right out back.

The guy working with me on this has had some things come up and I am having a few issues on acquiring parts. If I am going to do a SAS, it'll be done right--NO RUSH JOBS! I know what happens when you don't take the time to do something right. At least I know what I have now works (unless it gets too extreme).

Look forward to seeing everyone!

Too bad the swap wont be done, i was really looking forward to seeing that.
BUT---That is not the important thing! You guys being there is...woot!!

OK, i need to know, how many camping sites you want, what type of site, (electric or not), and for 1 or 2 nights. Sooner the better, Thanks!

Woo Hoo! This is going to be a great weekend!:bounce::bounce::bounce:

Update, we will be arriving sometime Friday evening after dark.

***We will be bringing truck load of spare parts and have them available if needed. ***

Also building my Bronco 2 up for this trip order 5 new 31-11.50 Swamper LTB's for it today, and 2in lift coils, doing Dana 35 swap and 8.8 disc brake.

It'll be the three of us for sure, all camping 2 nights (Friday and Saturday nights) in a basic site. How big are the sites, anyway?

OK, Primitive camp sites, but how many tents?

$5/tent/night...2 nights=$10/tent & no power

2 tents/2 nights=$20

3 tents/2 nights=$30

Plus wheeling charges.

A primitive site is just that----primitive.

Basically throwing your tent in the grass and that's it.

We will be grouped up in the same area, so however everybody spaces out the tents will be how big your site will be.

The only sites that are marked off in size are the R/V sites. So it is first come, first serve as far as claiming spots.

So how many tents will you have?

Are there fire pits and such to set up tents about?

This is a off road park, not a camp ground.

It just happens to have an area for camping, a new area at that.
Wheeling first, camping 2nd.

Here is a photo from one of the links in the first post, more pics in the link.

This when they where still building the sites, and this is an R/V site. Look behind the R/V sites and you will see a field, this is where we will set up our tents.

We will be able to have a camp fire, using the wood available from the park, free. The fire will be for all to enjoy, not 25 little camp fires, but one big one. Hope this helps.

We'll have two tents. Possibly more depending on if our friends come out.

2 tents
very excited!!! how about every body else!!!
I have not been to this park yet but have wanted to since i heard about it.
Very good idea to have 1 big fire, for everyone instead of a bunch of little ones.
How late will people be up Friday night? we should be rolling in between 9-11 pm?? Wondering if will be a bit difficult to find where we want to park.??
It probally allready says, but are we parking tow rigs and wheeling rigs where we are camping at? I prefer to keep my stuff together.

Sorry,
You will have to leave the trailer in the parking lot. Since you are coming in so late, and it will be plenty dark out, I would drop the trailer and wheeler in the parking lot. Drive to the camp sites, and set up camp.

:salute:

I was worried about that, will be cheaper and easier to just show up early morning in the day light saturday, ive seen gates open at 9 so may try to be there around then, will be to late to offroad friday anyway. During the day will we be able to drive truck and trailer into camp ground or is that all the time?
-I havent been here but leaving trucks and wheelers further away from where you sleep is not a good idea to many people with greedy fingers. I had some tires stolen recently and will not leave any of my stuff accept where I am at.

Sorry to hear about your tires.

Call the Smorr office and to see what they say. I have said what I know.
