A local caught a gas thief on camera last night.

Drilling into a gas tank? First thing that comes to mind is one of movie explosions! Nobody ever accused these people of being smart.

We might see one go up in flames soon. I've seen others in news also.

But the fumes will explode under the right conditions. Still, not a wise thing for anyone to do.

The best part is they let 20
Gallons hit the ground while they walk away with a one gallon can full

Then there's always that pesky static electricity. Regardless, using any type of power tool around fuel vapors is just plain stupid.

My friend has an RV that someone stole gas from. He filled the gas tank with water, they stole that then never came back.

Nothing more rewarding than watching a toad burn up as they commit theft of gasoline. Only thing better is watching them get crushed under a car while cutting out the catalytic converter. High risk lifestyle is dangerous.

Older drills used brushes that spark. Everyone has gone to a brushless design for better efficiency.
If your stealing gas you haven't upgraded to brushless yet most likely...

Add this thread to ideas for the old show "1000 ways to die." Most of those in the show were crazy and gory, but I'd gladly watch videos of thieves snuffing themselves out.

Instant Karma would be to have the truck fall on them while they're stealing gas and catalytic converter at the same time. Then let the fumes ignite while they're pinned underneath.

I heard a report this morning about someone who was stealing diesel fuel from one gas station, over 350 gallons worth. They used a minivan and had a hole in the floor, they parked over the fill covers in the lot, and just pumped it out. After three times the owner almost caught them the forth time, but didn't, they drove off.

Drilling gas tanks is nothing new and most tanks have been plastic for years. Not going to blow anything up.
Damn shame, that.
