Would a rebuild on the gearbox suffice if theres a good amount of play in the wheel? Everything underneath the truck seems tight. You can see the play between the steering shaft and the gearbox in realativity to the wheels. Or should I just swap out the whole thing? Also would it be nessesary to change out the steering pump as well? The truck has 193,000...I also changed the neg.connector on my batt wire and now I get a power drain when my lights are on and I roll my windows down or if my ac is on mid way the electric gauge drops down the lights dim but the car still runs barely! Bad idea or something else??

rebuilding the gearbox correctly would take some play out of the wheel. If the power steering pump still works fine theres no need to replace it. and as to your power issue make sure that the wire you replaced the stock one with can handle the same amount of power ie amperage voltage and resistance.
