Just a post trip report. Truck and Camper was awesome. After reloading it in the campground (first time since purchase ) we got it sitting better on the truck and everything just felt solid. Pushed just a inch or less closer to the cab made a world of difference. Even with a missing sway bar bushing in the front in 35mph winds she was stable at 55-60mph.

I will say hills are going to bring the suck big time with JP in tow. Maybe a gear change in the future is due

4.88's on the way.:burnout:

So Santa showed up yesterday. ..:D

Does it have a LSD in the rear end? Are you going to rebuild that too?

Yes it does have L/S. I originally ordered 4.56, but they could not get the sterling long yoke set. So my choice was a short yoke (there's a reason they changed it) or go up or down. 4.30's we're not enough change, so up I went. Now I have to get them installed and broken in before Moab.

We're going over the Grapevine with the camper next weekend, so I will be able to easily do a before and after comparison.

Picked up a new BBQ that I'm going to build a mount to hang off the back of the camper. It will have a swing arm off the driver rear jack.

Gotta break this thing in.:D

Discovered some issues on this trip, but nothing major.

Water pump thinks it's a lawn sprinkler under the sink.
110 outlets aren't working. I think it may be a bad breaker.

Didn't you check that stuff out before you left?

We never noticed the leak under the sink, looks like the pump needs a new seal. Under pressure it sprays. Never needed the outlets till this trip. Thought it was just a breaker. Used the toilet this trip too, for the first time.

Toilet work OK??

Nice looking campsite:chug:

4.88's are in. Now we drive to work and break it in over next week or so.

First impression, is easier off line, and I probably could just leave it on o/d all the time. At 65 mph she's running about 2500 rpm in o/d. Before it was 1700 rpm. o/d off (3rd) is way up in the 3000's:eek: Seems to be better in gas on the street already too.

Built the frame for the BBQ today:thumbsup:

BBQ mount 2.0.

Also I don't recommend welding or grinding close to your cell phone. Gorilla Glass has nothing on hot metal embers

Made the trip to Moab and back. Truck got about 8mpg for most of the trip. A little less, trying to get home after taking a bit longer home. Having a Spark plug shoot out of a head didn't help :(

All is well now. Special thanks to St. George Ford dealer, got it fixed in a hour.

Still a good trip however.

Stick-o with about 2 years worth of service how are the superwinch hubs treating you? And are they fully metal or do they have any plastic parts?
