point them to the back

Alot of people with Explorers point them at the roof.

Here is a good place to go with audio questions as well
Real Car Audio
This is another one of my haunts :D

I had a Kicker L7 15" (before it was stolen) and I got the best sound when it was pointed at the roof. I'd HIGHLY recommend that.

i like them pointed to the back always have... sounds much better than aiming forward. can't say much about pointing them up cuz my box won't allow it but i can't imagine it sounding too much better than aiming towards the front. but again i can't really say...

whell i think ill just try them up and back ! lol, see what i like best . heck i dont even have a amp yet....

Exactly!!! I had 2 JL 10W0's in my explorer. I had them aiming right at the back window, so that the waves bounced right back at the windshield. Sounds funny, but the police officer who pulled me over for hearing me about a mile away didn't think so!

I had JL W0-12's also. Same for me. I just pointed them at the back. But that was only for about two months. An Dennnnnnn.....I had firing at the roof and at the back :P

But I am not really supposed to show you guys that photo any more. It got stolen. :)

Pointed toward the back and vented toward the roof.

its a small (2.0 CF) sealed box for 2 12's , so no vent..

i have now a total of 5 subs; 3 10" jl w6's(the old ones not the v2's)
and 2 brand new 12" jl w7's in a fiberglass box and i just blew out my hatch window cus of the vibrations!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

i've done about 15 enclosures for explorers now- in general i've found firing at the roof to be the loudest.

Thats the exact reason i refuse to put subs in my X. Everyone and Anyone walking by your car can see what you have in it; there is no way to hide them unless you get your windows tinted 100% which is illegal. Im to afraid of dishing out serious money on my X then having some fool with a rock threw the back window take all my gear

A 2.0 cf is a small enclosure for 2 12" subs.
Just last week I bought a pair of old school Rockford Fosgates RFZ1812 (12")off E-Bay and the spec sheet calls for 2.0 cf for a single 12" sealed so I don't know how you are going get two to fit in that size of enclosure

dozier- and because your new system will be 10000x better
