Suggestions for SHOCKS?

Any suggestions for shocks?

96, 6 cyl, 4WD

I replaced with Edelbrocks 3-4 years ago. It is now almost unbearably harsh on the slightest road bump at 60-65 mph. Real bumps feel as if the rear axle is leaving the road.

Most of my miles are now on 'open road' driving back and forth to work. I don't need mush, but this harshness is extremely irritating when it sounds like the dash is almost cracking when you hit a pothole.

Any ideas?

one word, bilstein. buy a good enough model and they will valve them for you....

i got the cheapest Monroe shocks (all for $68 partsamerica.com) they work ok but not very smooth...... but its a firm ride

go to 4wheelparts.com, they sell procomp shocks which are good, and decently cheap. the es 5000 models are pretty durable.....

I like Monroe SensaTrac. If you want very firm go with Reflex.

Sincerly I changed my front shocks with Gabriel Sport. Its a jobber company but the shock are good. I bought it on ebay..my 1992 got 2 new shock for 25$ shipping included heheh
Front Gabriel shock are 61623 and rear are 61624.
