Swap or no

Ok so I have everything to either make my 96 5.0 2wd X 4wd or put my 5.0 into a 4wd sport 97. I can get the sport for $700 and the only thing wrong with it is a bad engine.

Thoughts please

I like the "looks" of the 2 door much better, however I could never give up the extra room.

Well I do have a family of 4 but one back door don't work and the other can only be opened from the out side I'm missing 3 out of 4 inside handles and one rear window drops on its owne. Yes it all can be fixed, but my 4 door has no power steering either the rack and pinion is shot. I'm not sure what all I can use off the 4.0 sport or what swap would be easier.


So is the rack and radiator the same between them?

The rack should be, the radiator is not. The 5.0 has a heavier one in it

sohc, and 5L rads are the same size. 5L have the annoying ac condenser tabs. the 4L sohc one will work however

Thanks, the wife thinks I need to stick to my 4 door and just make it 4wd so I need to locate clutch peddle front dif with 4.10 and spindle assimbly oh and cv shafts.

Ah I didnt know that. But I have ZERO experience with an SOHC motor
