2015 Ford Explorer XLT
I have a 2015 Ford Explorer XLT, that the sync system keeps restarting every time I start the car, says that it is doing maintenance, can anyone tell me what is going on and how do I fix without spending 1000's of dollars, I have had the car for a year and I have done all the resets including unhooking the battery for half an hour, but nothing is working. Please help if you can.

Did you go to the Ford site, download the latest Sync1 software update, and install it?

The same thing happened to my Sync 3 on my 20019 Taurus. During a Navigation Map update the power cut off. Every time I started the car it would say "updating Map" Needed to hit the some button on the screen, like cancel. Tried everything. Even call Ford own sync website for help. Did the battery disconnect and the Master Reset. Nothing worked. Took it to a Ford dealer. Found out only fix was to replace the hardware. The Sync Hardware, when it stops working correctly, most likely will need to be replaced. There is NO software / Reset fix.

Welcome to the Forum.
Which Sync version/build are you on?

My 2019 Platinum at one time was doing a WiFi map update and due to the amount of time it takes, I would have to use the vehicle taking it out of WiFi range. When I returned home, the map update would resume from the point it left off.
