t-case

I found a 74 bronco with a good case, I am not sure what case it is but the truck has a 302 and a 4 speed, is this a bolt up or do I need an adapter? also the yokes are they the same or not. Is this even a good idea my case is the damn push button and I want to get rid of it, I am looking for a lever operated case but the only one I found is $550 it comes with all the linkage but I thought that was a little too high. Any info would be great. Plus if anyone wants the front axle I could get it pretty reasonable!

offroader_69......um you,

That t-case your looking at is probably a Dana 20. Ford used that t-case in Broncos from around 1966-77.
Give Advanced Adapters a call. They will definately be able to help out.
Chances are you will need an adapter, and they don't run cheap!
Good luck!

yep yep yep its a dana 20

its a good case but not really worth all the effort. by the time you buy the adapter, have new driveshafts built, rebuild the t-case, (it will probably need it my 76 does), and get the linkage you've more than payed the 550 you would have for a bolt and go 1354. just my 2 cents

also the axle is diserable its a dana 44 but has drum brakes, but thats not hard to swap either. :D

thanks for the input guys, I wasn't sure, but now I am!
1354 here we come
