What is the best place to tap into the stock harness and not mangle it? Ideally I would like to wire up a small distribution block with a relay for accessories like fog lights, aux cooling fans, underbody lights, etc. Any ideas?? oh, 92 XLT mostly stock. Thanks fellas.....

Personally I would allow the new distribution block to have it's own power right from the battery.

2nd that!

In fact, when I do stuff like this, I wire a fused positive cable directly from the battery into the power dist box of my choice (also with it's own fuses). I've even ran a straight negative, but I think that's a bit of overkill. Make sure it's a large wire with a big fuse (whatever that wire needs) and you can run all your after market stuff from there without worrying about jacking the factory wiring up. These trucks have enough wiring gremlins without that!

I wire it inside the cab, that way I have a direct power link inside without taping into anything.
