Wagons are SWEET! :D I really don't know why I like wagons soo much but what can ya do...

Get her a 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie 500 XL with the divetrain swapped out from a crown '97 + Crown Vic or Towncar. She'd be the coolest chick in town! ;)
That's what I wanted to do to mine.

She just not that kinda girl  She'd be more than happy in a brand new Mustang, but she know's she needs to get a 4 door if she wants kids anytime soon. Her first car was a '89 Grand Marquie. :D She's had the V8 before! ;)

I like wagons, too. I had an 84 Chevy Cavalier wagon before I got my '92 Ex. That little wagon could carry a surprising amount of cargo. I like the Subaru wagons because of the AWD and the outdoor sporting image, but I see mostly old people driving them.

Wagons fell into disfavor when they acquired the family boat/soccer mom image. Now the Explorer has that image.

If you like wagons and Explorers, check out the Freestyle. Kinda ugly; it looks like a wagon with Explorer styling, like a lowered Ex, but I'm seeing more on the road and it "grows on you". You can get it with AWD, but I don't think one can get all terrain tires or a safari light bar for it......yet!

Well I finally did it. :D

Colin, It's completly different. We're fighting over who gets to drive it right now. I'm like a kid in a candy store with it. :bounce:

We picked it up, and she goes "ok lets go home" Home!? You don't buy a nice car like that, and just take it home to sit in the driveway :burnout:

We got home, I suddenly had to go to the store for something :D

Took the Camera for some real pics ;)

All I have to say...is this car Rocks! :smoke:

Not A Turbo!

I started wondering at the Dealer, when I saw that it did not have the “2.4T” markings on the back of the car, but the salesmen told me that they didn’t start putting that emblem till later in the model year, which we all know is possible with car manufacturers these days. The only reason I didn’t really question myself, was because even most of the paperwork says it’s a “T” on it. I think even the Car fax says it’s a “T”. I know what a turbo looks like, but with all the covers they put on everything now a days, and the fact that I never even driven a car with a Turbo in it. I haven’t really had a chance to crawl over the car real good yet, or even really drive it much till today. I crawled under the hood today a little and I didn’t see any turbo, nor do I hear one when I drive it… Even after looking online a little bit at pictures of engines of “T’s and non “T’s to see if I was wrong some how. but now I can tell for sure it is not a “T” due to the intercooler pipe going over the top of the intake, that’s not there on mine. :fire: So now what to do…? I really love the car, “T” or no “T” and even for the price it’s not bad for a non “T”. The car is also a complete cream puff, it’s very, very clean for a ’02 and with such low miles…. The thing is if it was not for some of the paperwork saying it was a “T”, then everything would be different. I feel like an idiot. :banghead: knowing as much as I do about cars, and not figureing this out till today. Always trust your first instinct.

It took me a while to find the turbo in my step-dad's. His had the 1.9 5cyl turbo. It was in the back of the engine bay more to the driver's side. You should be able to hear/feel the turbo a little when driving it, if it has one.

See the differance. I just checked the Carfax, It does not say it's a turbo. I think just the sticker from the window said that...all though it said $ 2k more then the web site too.

My first instinct is never to trust anything a car salesman says. :p

I wouldn't worry so much about the turbo if you like the car otherwise, cause a naturally aspirated engine (non-turbo) will probably be more reliable in the long run anyway. JMO.

Well, thats the thing... I still got a good deal, and I really don't think I would find another car this clean. I swear it looks almost brand new, and thats not easy for a black car to pull off. I think your right...Turbos eat will eat up the engine later on. This car should last forever with a non turbo. After look at how many old volvos are still on the road

Don't turbos usually require Premium fuel?

That's correct sir...but I just got it yesterday. I have not used the full tank of gas at 21/29mpg

volvo s60

i just got a 02 volvo s60 2.4t and it just sais s60 on back no 2.4t.
If u know how many hp ur car has ull know if its a turbo. Non-turbo s60's are 160 hp. The next up is the turbo version with 197 hp. After that is the 2.5l engine but that doesnt matter. The turbo is not in plain view its in an odd spot.

volvo

by the way i use regular gas in my turbo s60. Is that bad?

I would use whatever grade (octane number) that they recommend in the owner's manual.
