Tire size question

hey guys...I was just wondering if I could change out my stock P245 70 R16 tires on my 2002 Eddie Bauer Explorer for LT245 75 R16 tires? Is there much difference? Is that gonna throw my speedometer off any? I just am pretty ignorant to tires except I know I need all 4 new ones right now...any help would be appreciated!!!

The tire you want is only 1" taller (30.5 instead of 29.5) than the stock tires. They will fit no problem and will affect your speedometer, but not enough to worry about.

yeah mate no dramas on the fit, use a gps to accurately gauge your speed then adjust accordingly. 1" difference in diameter changed my speedo by 6mph across the board. sorry I meant to say 2" difference in diameter and thats from 245/65/17 to 265/70/17. Use a gps to stop you from being picked up for speeding is all I'm saying if you change your tyre size.
