got it i think i pmed you back took me a couple minutes to figure it out

wait--
I have 2 bars that Dan Whittaker left here when we replaced the v8 bars on his 97 mounty
you can have them for shipping if you could wait a few days-
Just don't drive the truck--

Gave up on the wind chime idea eh:D

My old ones were "D" bars. Look on your driver side door and there will be a tag that says what yours came from the factory with. Most likely B D or F.

Oh yea almost forgot. Soak the hell out the torsion bars with PB Blaster where they slide into the lower control arms. You will need a BFH and a piece of steel pipe to drive those suckers out with.

i just went out and checked and it says "tape" then it has a D under it, then it says springs and has B F under it, not sure what those mean or what else to look for

The B is the rate for the torsion bars & the F for the rate of leaf springs. My old ones will less stiff than what you have now.

Hell, I just told him he had a v6 and they would be stiffer--:p:

In any event-they are free for 26 bux shipping if ya want them.

If not, I'll go back to the wind chime idea for mom and pops.
