Hi,

I have a '92 Explorer - Where the Wiper washer Bottle and Jack are - In the
the hatch left hand side - there is a connector box which appears to have
a little red diode at the bottom. Would the Towing relays be in this box ?

Check before you leap.

That's the GEM; controls the 4wd. If you have the towing relays, they would be in the same area, but all the way towards the back, above the jack, and mounted individually.

thanks agzaretzka..

1st Gen explorers don't use relays as part of a towing wiring harness. You can pickup a "T" wiring connector for under $20 U.S. This connector plugs into the wiring connectors directly above the stock jack.

Mine has the towing relays - 91 EB
