I'm planning to use the 4" rear leaf spring but I don't know which brand to get and also what year. From 4wheelparts, a i believe a set of 4" skyjacker rearsprings are $368.95 while i was quoted $133.95 each trailmaster leaf pack which would be $267.90 for a set not including the 10% off. Also, what year would be best for me to get? I have a 97 explorer sport 2wd and I thought there wasn't a difference in size with the other years. If there are other brands please tell me. THanks in advance.

Well, those leafs are still on my explorer. good as the day they went on. I'm waiting for clint's lazy butt to give me his 6"skyjackers. So, when that happens, you can have the pair of 4"trailmaster leafs for 150. I'll try and get an idea of what shipping will be to...L.A?

How old are those leafs and how did it affect the ride?

They are going on 7 months old, I bought them new. To my surprise, they haven't began to sag yet. I just wish that the trailmaster coils were as good :(
Other than lifting the rear 4 inches, they don't really affect the ride much, atleast, none that I have noticed. I even removed the rear anti-sway bar, and have had not changes.

Ohh so i guess you didn't extend the sway bar. Do u think I would need to extend my sway bar after the lift?

The sway bar did not need extending...atleast it didn't come with one. Ask fenderguy if his is extended, he has the same leafs on his truck.

SCEXPLORER-

Who needs swaybars. I took both of mine off when I put the lift on it. I don't mind body roll when I drive so... I know a lot of people can't handle body roll so it's your own preference. The springs ride alright, I would like them to be a bit softer. Plus I have a 4 door, a little heavier than yours. Take that into consideration.

I was just wondering. Does anyone make a 3inch leaf spring for the rear?

My spring pack for the rear is 3.5" lift spring from Fabtech. Its a leaves instead of 4. It rides a WHole lot better then it ever did stock.

Where did you get your leaf pack and how much was it?

Hey arsoul! Go get on Clint's case so i can lift my X already. I'm going to shop around but so far your price sounds good depending on the shipping.
