Tranny Problem?

OK, when i stop at lights and things i smell a burning clutch type smell....i have an automatic and the fluid level is fine. do i need to go and have all my fluid flused or am i crazy or ?????????? HELP ME OUT GUYS OR GALS I CANT AFFORD TO LOSE MY TRANNY!!!!!!

Hey man, make your way to a creditable transmission place RIGHT AWAY! I recently under went a huge tranny rebuild, so unless you want to be spending 3000 bucks on a tranny, get your problem checked out PRONTO!

RUN! Don't walk to the tranny shop. At least yours is giving you warning. Mine didn't and left me stuck on an off ramp!

I'd have them do a full check It doesn't cost much and it might save you some serious bucks in the long run

best thing to do is get it in the shop quickly.my trans started
not wanting to shift out of 1st last friday.then the OD light started blinking.
i stopped at a shop & they said it should be ok till tuesday when they had
an opening.found out it was a sensor on the outside of the tranny. the bad news is that i ruined 2nd gear by driving it that way over the weekend.
so i wouldnt drive it anywhere if you dont have to.

I totalled my most beloved car about a year ago. It was a '90 Mustang GT 5.0...5 speed, dream car for a 17 year old. Totalled.

I hope you're alright man...I really do. I was shaken up for a long while after that and I know how you feel.

If you don't mind, was it your fault...where did it happen (I'm the guy who lives right by your work...)

Hey Matt, do you have an extra room at your place? or a closet that a bed will fit into?

yeah i am fine.....it was my fault...i hit a lifted toyota...our bumpers met and then his bed and my front met and took out the radiator and supports and screwed the under part of the left side up...if it can be repaired it will need a lot of straightening and also a new left side grafted on. niether doors on the left open because the fender pushed them back..the tow truck driver also said my pumkin moved back on the left side like 4 inches..on top of that i will probably lose my license..so i need to move immediately close to work or lightrail/vta buses and get myself a an off-road go-ped

No luck with the extra room man! I know where you had the accident, drive by all the time. There's a lot of traffic on 237, especially during rush hour...did the traffic stop all the sudden?

What type of insurance do you have man?

What happened to this other dude's truck?

ok bad, correction....i found out today that i dont have full covreage...my parents knocked it down to only liability behind my back....i am now the owner of a toalled 1994 ford explorer!!!!
