Trans Slippin soon to be sittin

Well purchased this 2,200 . with lift done by previous owner.3in lift was too high.33 series tires i took off .replaced with 22in rims...trans going at moment along with valve head gasket oil leaking....I'm in California and want best for my X. Seeking transmission work.. rebuild.

Rebuild...? What year is your explorer? I kinda want to see these 22's btw transmissions can be fixed without rebuild sometimes... Dirty fluid and ur looking at slippage... Still rolling good in reverse and D? Automatic transmissions grab one gear to the next using fluid.. No shaking, grinding or whining?

These 5Rs are wimpy and usually require a full rebuild by someone who rebuilds these transmissions regularly, or they just don’t hold up.

When you rebuild ask the rebuilder to beef it up
