This is actually for a V8 swap into my '98 Ranger, but my donor is a '99 XLT so I'll post here. As long as I have the engine out and disassembled, of course I need to put on TMH with a 1" intake spacer.

I'm confused about which spacer to use. The Trick Flow spacers only seem to go up to 1995. Summit couldn't guarantee it would fit a '99 and I'm not sure how the external EGR and GT40P heads will affect which kit I use.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You want this one:

It has the round holes, doesnt matter if you are 96-97.5 with GT-40 heads or 97.5-2001 with GT-40p heads, its the same GT-40 lower intake you want the spacer for

mine is a FMS unit, but there are many many aftermarket ones to choose from

For the explorer engine you will need two additional bolts that do not come with the spacer kit

Many Thanks!

Thanks for the excellent responses. Spacer on order.
