T-Shirts Etc.
Leebo:
If your photo program work is toward a t-shirt for T-H 2k+1, don't let me stop you, we just need to think it through so we don't look like a commercial operation, etc. Its just that If everybody out there is wearing a "run" t-shirt, and we get stopped by the Rangers, it'd be tough to make them believe that we all just coincidentally showed up on the same week-end. It's kind of "hard evidence" that we're on an organized group run. Part of the problem is that there is no universal policy or attitude toward, or definition of "Organized Group Activities". It seems to be up to the head Ranger or Manager of a particular district of the BLM, Nat. Park, or State Park. as to how they handle it in their area, and there is no set fee schedule, but rather that is up to the Ranger also, depending how he percieves the group. Again, as Rick can tell you, we ran into this at MOAB this year. I think that at COlors 2K w2e just didn't say anything to the BLM or Nat Park, and "just coincidentally" showed up, and had no problems. GJarrett can tell us more about that since he basically organized the run. Oh, I forgot, he didn't ORGANIZE the run, he just told a few friends where he was going that week, and we all just showed up to surprise him!
Anyhow, I'd like to see a shirt for the un-organized un-run, we just need to handle it carefully. If some the folks think we can hand them out as we leave or whatever, or at a un-group dinner if we decide to have one on this un-run, that might work fine!
