Dash plaque

Hey Rick, or anybody, how do we get a dash plaque?
And also, I am bringing a friend, he is bringing his truck, should he sign up separate and put a deposit for himself? And if anybody is driving from San Diego I would like to caravan with somebody, I know its only about an hour and a half drive but it would still be nice to go with somebody else.

Is the prize being kept a suprise?

We have a couple gift certificates for Apten computer chips, a few cases of Amsoil products, stickers, videos, and hopefully some more "special goodies" if the deals go through.

If you requested a dash plaque when you registered it will be there for you at the run. I'll just deduct the $5 from the $20 deposit.

If your friend has a Ranger or Explorer have him sign up, otherwise he can just fill out a release when he gets there. The raffle is for Ranger/Explorer owners.

I'm going out tomorrow with arsoul to work out any last minute bugs, but the X is ready to go with a newly installed dual battery and a spare tire/highlift carrier. Truckhaven or bust!! OOOh, I shouldn't say that so loud, that's what happened last year.

Glad to hear it, Kevin. I hadn't heard anything from you in a while, and was thinking maybe you weren't going to make it. What's up with Arsoul, is he coming too?

You call coming from CO a long trip? LOL Try coming from Houston, TX. 1405 miles one way.

I sure have alot to do in the next few weeks to get ready. I am making a new CB antenna mount and redesigning my system for better performance. I will also be getting new Deaver rear springs ( a custom 10 leaf pack (!) and limiting straps ), should be done this week. Then I hope to have my light bar and skid plate back from RCD and my lights mounted (for those night run ;) ). Last thing I hope to have, but probably won't will be sliders. Those are still being designed and I doubt theywill be ready. So much to do, so little time!

WHAT? :( I was looking forward to caravaning out with ya'. What broke?

yah dude, I was too, but I just can't off road that thang till it gets fixed. On thanksgiving weekend at glamis that thing got tore up. I bent the rear axle up on both sides, blew out one of my front u-joints, crushed another ****tyass superlift spring perch, and totally f'd up the alignment. Oh and the battery was shot to hell.

So, I threw in a new rear end(300+tools), bought a new battery(150) and now need to get it realigned and the damn bushings replaced.(200) The new 8.8 rear end has a gear ratio of 3.55. The old one was 3.27. Which means, my front end now has 3.27's while my rear end contains 3.55's. Sooo, in order to use 4wd, I would have to regear the whole truck and get the front u-joint repaired=$700 Sooo, In order for my truck to drive to thaven and be able to offroad out there, I would need about $1000 now. Yah, its an expensive sport and I wish I could go, but you know how it goes. Still looking forward to eventually going up to saddleback w/ you though; have to wait for some heavy rains to come:rolleyes:

Well let me know when it gets fixed and we'll go up there. Fortunately for us, it is supposed to be a wet winter...you have time. ;)

Good luck with everything...

SaddleBack

I live up in 29Palms and was wondering were this Saddle Back you talk of is located. If it is not to far of a drive for me I would be interested it going up there with you all.

Mark

PM me for more info, don't want to hijack this thread. Saddleback is the tallest peak in Orange County. It splits OC and Riverside counties and offers some nice day wheeling and a great view on clear days. Sometimes you can see the hills of San Diego...

Sorry Everyone

Sorry I haven't been able to return calls and emails guys.:( I started my new job in Redondo Beach this week, last week I was finishing up all my stuff at my old job. The new job is good (I'm Operations Manager), and I REALLY like Redondo. I've been pretty busy, hopefully by the end of the weekend I'll have some more time. I'm still looking for a place to live (staying w/ my sis right now). Anyway, I'm still going to T-Haven, and look forward to seeing you all again. My truck won't be close to done because of all the new things going on. Anyway, good luck, see ya'll in a few weeks.:bounce:

Just a few weeks away. Few reminders though:
BRING FIRE WOOD

Also if anyone has any christmas trees they havent gotten rid of yet bring them to. And dont forget firewood.
