I am so glad I've been taking the X out for little shakedowns before I drive all the way to truckhaven..

Look what I found today when I swaped out my spare spring for my new springs (from me breaking one a couple weeks ago on a simple easy scouting run)..

That would have been bad to have for the 1k mile round trip plus truckhaven fun...

We welded it backtogether, but I'm gonna pick up another set since not only was it cracked, its slightly bent in a few places from Show's hill.

yup.. drivers side RA bracket... Duff uses that stack style drop brackets... (you put the lift brackets on the frame and you rstock brackets on the lift brackets).. its been fine for all these years until recently.. Within a few months I broke a coil spring and this brackets.. (not at the same time)..

i bent a stock RA bracket before. 45 mph and a 2-1/2' stump = a destroyed rim, bent radius arm bracket, bent axle pivot bracket, bent sway bar bracket, and i still drove it home

The scary thing is, I think I broke that bracket back in October.. I remember hearing a new clunk once in while.. I got it more when I was in 4x4 low and let the engine braking slow me down hard... I also got it when I did any hard braking on asphalt.

I thought maybe it was that coil spring I broke (maybe cracked) but now I think it was the bracket since I heard the clunk the day I swapped out the spring and I haven't heard it since welding the bracket backtogether.

I got really lucky.. the crack was within 2" of being complely through.. heck one more inch on the bottom would have been bad

That hill is cursed...

Thats the only hill/trail I've ever been on that took out a radiator hose.

I clipped a rock in the wash doing about 40. It was sticking out just high enough to clip the front diff. After I hit it, it unearthed and was about 1.5 feet round. Cracked the aluminum front diff, bent the passenger side TTB, and slowly leaked diff fluid. Filled it up, wheeled the next day, drove it home, got a new screen name
