So I own a base model Ex, would like to drop the standard steel wheels with wheel cover and get some 20" wheels, does anyone know if this would cause issues? Are the Limited and base models geared differently, and would it possibly throw off some of the factory sensors if I did this? Also, if anyone has a Limited and is willing to provide me with their VIN I can just compare through OASIS and see if the gear ratio is different. Thanks

All you have to do is get a like diameter wheel and tire combo and you will be good to go.

There are tire calculators online that will compare current and proposed sizes. Tires.com has one that works quite well and will even give the speedo differences.

From the spec's that Ford gave, the only difference in gear ratios is between the FWD and AWD versions. As said above, if you match overall tire diameter, you should be good to go. If you go with a larger diameter tire, you will have to get the speedometer re-programmed so that it's not off. I did that with my F-150 and I remember the dealer charging me something like $70 to do it.

I kind of figured I would have to get it re-programed, not worried about the charge, when I bought the car I got negotiated free service on everything for the first 3 years so I am gonna put that to use as much as possible, but thanks for your post.
