Usb stick keep skiping

I have down loaded music onto a memory stick and every time i play the usb it plays a song or two and then the music starts to skip or it goes in and out why can anyone give and idea why is it in need of a software up date. I have an appointment for wed 4/13 what should i do ?

Let me know what happens, mine does the same thing. I thought it was a bad usb memory stick, but since it is happening to you also it must be a MFT problem.

Mine does that too, but have narrowed it down to when I first put the stick in and Sync is doing all the indexing and voice command building. After that is complete it seems to quit doing that.
