well it happened to me

Sorry to hear about this! Did you have an alarm (not a factory POS, an aftermarket DEI)? At least insurance is covering it. How'd they get in?

I'm 19 and I haven't borrowed money or asked for spending money from ANYONE since I was 14. Age has nothing to do with how much money you have.

If I were you I'd check eBay, running a search for your location. Lots of thieves sell on eBay.

You are right about that. My cousin had her musical instrument stolen at school, her dad checked ebay and found it. They got it back safe and sound, and the dumbass that stole it was in big trouble. :)

REPLY TO CHEW12;
I left the car sitting up on the blocks that he left it on. About a week later I found a set of nice used rims and tires and left them sitting behind the car. That night i sat in the car in the pitch black listening to my walkman, watching. Sure enough, around midnite, the guy comes walking right up and starts checking them out with a flashlight. Lets just say he won't be doing that no more.

He caught a beating what do you think?LOL Then I made him bring back my wheels and watched as he put them back on. He was so imbarassed he moved the next week! :hammer:

How did you know it was your neighbor? Sounds like you had fun with it.\

NM this, the post lagged or something, it's answered.

Good idea. eBay's got the Viper 791 (same as Clifford RSX 3.5 in diff case & Python something-or-other) for ~$200. Go DEI if you can (Viper, Python, Clifford, etc.)

ya, a local shop wants $500 installed for the viper alarm with LCD pager..

Ouch. It's not even that hard. I installed mine on my own.

ehh.. i really don't feel like doing it myself...

Alright. I also HIGHLY suggest a DEI piezo siren be put under the dash, a back-up battery be purchased and hidden away from the brain. A dual-zone proximity sensor is another very good idea. Any continuous movement over like a 5 second interval will set off the alarm. Talk to the installer and tell them you want the brain hidden in the dash. You want the under-hood siren hidden with no visible wires. Otherwise they'll put everything in the simplest location.

yeah, i'm getting the backup battery... this place that i goto (tweeter) does excellent work and the only place i trust my car... they know where to hide all the parts of the alarm etc... i'm getting the viper 791xv installed on monday..
