what to use on bed rails?

I have a 97 ram with a spray in bed liner that doesnt go over the bed rails. I want to add some bed liner mysef to the bed rails so the topper on the truck wont scratch the bed rails up. do you think something like the duplicolor bed liner will hold up to this? Im on a tight budget so I gotta watch how much I spend on this.
